As you travel around the country or the world you may want to consider buying travel health insurance. Does your health care plan provide protection for you when you travel? If you are visiting an overseas country your medical coverage may not be accepted by those doctors. In order to protect yourself from risks of illness and injury, you need to be sure that you have some type of protection in place. For those that are traveling, a plan that covers you regardless of your destination is the best resource for you.
There are a variety of products available today in travel health insurance. Many times, these products are offered by booking agents as well as medical coverage providers. Their goal is to offer you protection in one of the worst case scenario’s; being ill in another country or away from home.
Before you leave your home for your trip, find out if your health insurance company provides coverage for you out of state or out of the country. You also will want to be sure that they provide emergency health expense coverage for medically required evacuations. In other words, if you need to leave the country quickly for medical reasons, your coverage needs to help you to do that.
Anyone that is considering taking a trip should take into account what happens to their medical protection when they do. Your insurance agent should be able to tell you exactly what their policy is. Make certain that you discuss this with your agent and buy specific travel insurance coverage, if necessary, before you travel anywhere abroad.

Planned Parenthood. You don't necessary need to give them your social security number. It's optional. If you don't have insurance or if you have a low income, chances are you don't even have to pay for an appointment. My advice to you would be to make an appointment anyway. Medicare and Medicaid's bills from the hospitals get lumped together as large bills to our government. The government then tell the hospitals what percentage of that bill they will pay. To counterbalance this the hospitals raise the rates on everything so that they are still getting full price. That price stays the same for all insurance companies which then raise YOUR premiums because our government has helped to jack up the price. Now millions of Americans cannot afford healthcare. There is a flawed system in place and something needs to be done.

Because the government doesn't have the authority to force you to buy protection that you don't necessarily want.
If Al Capon forced you to buy protection, that you didn't want it's called extortion. When Obama does it, it's called Health Care. What else should the government force you to spend 20% of your gross income on?
Some of us don't want to be slaves to a tyrannical government and that's the problem with it.

I completely agree that having a car in the US is rarely much of a choice. There are very few places where you can live without one. It's kind of like saying that wearing pants when you go out is a choice. Sure, I suppose in a strict sense it is. On the other hand, if the government forced you to buy pants that might be unconstitutional. They might have a case, but we both know why they're really doing this. They simply don't like the bill whether it's constitutional or not. This is a last ditch effort to defeat it.
The bill is not perfect, but what bill is? I do wish that we'd fundamentally restructure the system of health insurance that we have, but I feel these are good improvements. To me, the healthcare industry should be either a more free market, or more universal with at least public option. I know that seems like a weird contradiction, but I feel the system we have now is the worst of both worlds. We're missing the good parts of capitalism because people don't have incentive to "shop around" much since the insurance just pays for everything. This also adds to the "defensive medicine" problem because doctors want to order tons of tests to cover their butts, and the patients go along with it because "hey, the insurance covers it."
While we're missing the "hand of the market" effect from capitalism, we're also being gouged by these under-regulated companies who only act as middle men. They don't cure any diseases, they don't treat anyone, they just shuffle some paperwork around and take a cut. They make everything more complicated, more expensive, and more aggravating. You just want to spend the weekend relaxing with your family, but instead have to spend it arguing with your insurance company and worrying because they're denying your claim.
